CIFAR extends an invitation to submit proposals for Horizon Networks. Specifically, interdisciplinary and international proposals to address global questions and foster new research networks, with preference for new collaborations and commitment to diversity.
Co-led by proven leaders from CIFAR’s hallmark early career leadership programs, each Horizon Network will include up to 8 additional early- to mid-career faculty, most of whom have not had formal involvement in a CIFAR program. Network co-leaders will draw on researchers from a diversity of institutions.
Proposals will be evaluated on four key criteria, including Transformative Research Potential, Excellence and Interdisciplinarity of the Research Team, Potential Leadership, and Alignment with CIFAR’s Mandate. The application process will require detailed information on the core team, the research question(s) and their significance, long-term impact aspirations, and the need for CIFAR's support.
